I am a new oner, how do I register to get HOA News?
If you have not registered your home it is vital you do so. You need to stay informed and to make sure your property does not have any leins or fines with the association. CLICK HERE
Why can't I drive a golf cart in the area?
This is a question the State, City and the HOA. Basically the State only allows them if they have full license, seat belts, turn signals and lights. Furthermore, the roads of Ashford Park are under the City & State jurisdiction.
Can I put up a flag pole?
No, you may see a few that were grandfathered before the rule was changed. Many people started to put up flags that offended their neighbor so new installs have been stopped. You may want to read this article in our NEWS CLICK HERE

Can I park a boat in my driveway?
No, and this has already been challenged in court. Boats are NOT allowed to be stored in your drive or the front of the house. We understand that storage cost has risen lately but there have also been numerous storage places built in the past year.
May I put a "For Sale" sign in the HOA common areas?
No, "For Sale" or "For Lease" signs may only be located on your own property. If the HOA has to remove a sign you or your real estate agent have placed in the common area you may be subject to a $50 fine and lack of payment of fines may be added as a lein.
Does my pet have to be on a leash?
Yes, all pets must be on a leash and you are required to clean up after your pet if it creates fecal droppings on common grounds or another person's property.
Do I have to have a backyard fence?
Since the hurricane of 2020 we have waived the fence requirement until further notice. If you DO build a fence it must be 6ft. tall and made of wood planks. If you would like something else it must be submitted for review to the Architectual Committee.
Can I build a detached structure?
Yes, but it must be sumitted to the architetual committee for approval and you must submit plans and materials.
What kind of mailbox can I have?
Your mailbox must be black and have the house number of your address displayed in white. The box style must match the traditional rounded dome top.
The post style is currently under review for an upcoming vote.
Are satellite dishes permitted?
Yes, so long as they are attached to the home's facia board and are located along the back 25% of the home's side facia.
When is trashed picked up?
Trash day is typically Friday. Your city provided bin must be placed by the road but still in your driveway. The open part of the bin should be facing the road.
Recycle day is Tuesday. All dates are subject to change according to City holidays.
No, only shingled roofs are allowed in Ashford Park.
Where do I find the right mailbox post?
We have heard recently that owners cannot find the same approved mailbox post. You might notice that some owners have already switched to the new approved post which you can find HERE. We would ask that you use the post ONLY and still use the regular black box.
Can I paint my doors/shutters/garage doors?
If you are painting any color than is what currently there, you will need to submit for approval to the Architectual Committee. Please submit from Contact page.
Can I paint the brick of my home?
No, the bricks or siding may not be painted. If you have siding and wish to change colors please sumit the request to the Architectual Committee.
